• The BMW E36 series is the fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of entry-level luxury cars, and was produced from 1990 to 2000. The body styles of the range are:
  
  4-door sedan/saloon, sold from 1990 to 1998
  
  The E36 was the first 3 Series to be offered in a hatchback body style. These models, called the BMW 3 Series Compact, were popular in Europe but largely unsuccessful in North America. It was also the first 3 Series to be available with a 6-speed manual transmission (in the 1995 M3), a 5-speed automatic transmission and a four-cylinder diesel engine. The multi-link rear suspension was also a significant upgrade compared with previous generations of 3 Series.
  
  Design
  The body styling is sometimes referred to as the "dolphin shape".

  With 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 11.00 seconds, a maximum top speed of 214 km/h, a curb weight of 1335 kgs, the bmw e36 320i 1991-1998, automatic gearbox, 4 door sedan sold new from year January 91 to April 98 has a naturally-aspirated L6 (In-line) engine, with the size 1991 cm3.
  The engine max. power is 150 bhp at 5900 rpm and a max torque is 190 / 4200 (Nm/rpm). The power is transmitted by the RWD with a 5 speed automatic gearbox.
